Close to Alber Aguilera’s Madrilean street (placed in the very touristic towncentre of the Spanish capital) I could find this restaurant (Sapori di Sicilia) flavoured with Sicilian fresh and handcrafted food that they elaborate themselves, from pasta to desserts and pizzas. That was what I discover a few days ago when I was about to enjoy a family meal.
It is small but charming and well arranged, with an excellent table service that guide’s you through your first visit telling you which their specialities are. We got the following (delicious) menu:
But the day wouldn’t have been that good if we didn’t taste a red wine from Italy. A good wine that matched perfectly with what we had and it surely sweetened up our meal. Terre Siciliane, 100% Syrah. Fruity, well balanced and easy to drink. Much better that I would have ever expected.
Average Price (includes dessert, coffee and bottle of wine): 33€ /person
