Discovering new wines is one of the greatest pleasures of life, it is part of my job, and it is also part of this blog and a lifestyle.
When you are with your family you try to give a rest to that busy life you keep daily and you try to relax, with no informs, no bills, no pressures. For only few days it is only them and you, just. That is what I was doing when we decide to visit this restaurant from the Madrilenian mountains (that I visit every time I have chance), and we were pleased to find that their wine list had improved.
This time, we would discover this vintage wine from D.O. Pago de la Guardia (the winery is located in the town of La Guardia, just 90 kms –about 135 miles- from Madrid) that a friend of mine would recommend me months ago saying it was very good quality-to-price ratio. The menu we enjoyed also helped to discover a real worth-trying wine. It amazed me however how this 10-month-aging wine paired with the desserts, specially with a chocolate fudge
It was a good experience to enjoy Martúe 2010 with a lovely compay and a good menu. Wine for just 12,50€.
