Summer Wine Cocktails. Which is your favourite?

We are not cocktail masters nor we pretend to be. We have recently discovered the world of cocktails that gives you the chance to mix your favourite drinks and get the best flavours… even delicious and refreshing results. Not only you can mix gin, we can also mix whisky (we did our own cocktail!), with brandy, Pisco… imagination is the limit.

With typical summer temperatures we wanted to make our own homemade cocktails. We mix some high quality spirits that we had the chance to taste recently (thanks to our friend, Manuel, and Destilados El Tajo),with some wines that we had pending to taste and other liquors we had at home.

Our mixing ingredients. We left the Brut bottle for another day.

We made four cocktails. Four diferent ones, with rosé and red wines, mixing them with gin, brandy, triple sec, Licor 43 and strawberries (or you can put fruits of the forest instead). Our cocktails recipes and our comments about them as they follow:

Vinuranto Gold Medal
Vinuranto Gold Medal

We gave this last cocktail the medal of Vinuranto Cocktail of the Evening”. It lasted a blink of an eye. Sweet and refreshing. Chocolate truffle and fruit notes in the mouth. Delicious!

Vinuranto Silver Medal
Vinuranto Silver Medal

The silver medal goes for the mix of Gin and rosé wine. Refreshing and quenches your thirst! It’s like a lemon soft drink.

The Brandy cocktail was too hard in the mouth when we try at first. After 24 hours it turn to be a perfect and elegant drink.
