Discovering Spanish Bobal wines.


Bobal grape is not a  very extendend grape in our country, but little by little we can find more variaty of great wine with this grapes elaborated with great coupages like the french grape Petit Verdot, o the delicous single varietals with this grape that are finding a great result in the glass for any wine lover. These wines are most elaborated between Cuenca and Valencia.

The present wine I am about to write about, it’s an 5 stars wine that will surprise even the most doubtful. Its price has no equal.

Grapes: petit verdot, bobal

% vol. Alcohol: 14.

Price: 6,60€/bottle.

Colour: red ruby with salmon borders.

In the nose attacks with mediterranean field from Alicante, plums raisins, chocolate noir, pipe tobacco, with touch of vanilla, salty, balsamic, river and moss.

In the mouth attacks with a slightly oily, smoth, fresh, well balanced, spicy in the end with an aftertaste of pipe tobacco, plums and little touch of vanilla with a nice acidity. An oustanding wine.

Pairing: chicken with moscatel of orange sauce and salad. Endives with moscatel of orange sauce.
